There are many reasons to love spring in New York…But, here are our absolute FAVORITES!
10) Lobster Rolls
From Luke’s Lobster Rolls to the Red Hook Lobster Pound to the North River Lobster Cruise, New York City residents go crazy over the Lobster Roll, and they’re BACK! Oh happy day!
9) Frosé
Yes, I know…Kitschy, cliché, basic, corny…But, there’s something about a pink frozen drink while looking at the New York sunset that just works. And, it works especially well in the spring.
8) Beer Gardens
Soaking in the first spring sun in a backyard oasis with a cool craft beer and pretzel is my version of heaven on earth. And, New York has this type of spot all over town in each and every borough.
7) Sails and Cruises
We love the Classic Harbor Line! Any day or evening spent on one of their sail boats or yachts is bound to be a great time. And, the weather is shaping up for another great season on the water!
6) Beach Life
From the Rockaways to Coney Island, New York City has beaches. But, if you’re looking for more pristine, the Hamptons and North Fork are calling!
5) Parks
The gardens are growing, the flowers are budding, and the parks are full of color! Spring has sprung all around the city!
4) Picnics
Heading to a garden, park, or waterfront to enjoy some street food or gourmet take-out is the BEST of the season.
3) Cherry Blossom Hunting
From The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to Central Park, Cherry Blossom Hunting is in full swing. Where will you find one of these magical scenes?
2) Rooftops
Even in the midst of COVID, parties, concerts and comedy are happening on New York City rooftops. Grab a vaccine and head up! Enjoy the weather, the entertainment, the buzz, and the views!
1) Brunch
No one loves weekend Brunch like a New Yorker. And there’s no better time for Boozy Brunch than in the spring.

Should I Come to New York in 2021?
YESSSS!!!! If you live in the U.S.A., then go get your vaccine and come visit! As of April 1, quarantine and testing will no longer be mandated. Quarantining for a few days is still recommended, but we are reaching the end of the formal testing, paperwork, and quarantines for domestic travelers! Huzzah!
***UPDATE*** On April 1, 2021 New York will no longer be requiring quarantines for domestic travel. International travelers will still be required to quarantine. All travelers will need to fill out a NYS traveler form upon arrival.
You’ve waited patiently, and New York is still here! Start planning your trips!
